Privacy Policy

Last updated · April 2026

We take a minimal, honest approach: only collect what's needed, name exactly what's stored where, and let you turn off anything optional.

The short version

Clip does not need your data to work. Every tool runs in your browser using JavaScript · text, images and PDFs you paste or upload never leave your device. By default the site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics.

Data collection

None. Clip does not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal information or user content on our own servers. There are no accounts, no forms, and no server-side processing. Tool input and output exist only in your browser tab, and are discarded the moment you close it.

Cookies & local storage

Clip stores at most two things in your browser's localStorage, and only if you interact with the feature: your theme preference (system / light / dark) under the key clip_theme, and your consent choice for analytics / ads under clip_consent when that banner is shown. These values stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.

Third-party fonts

Fonts (Sora and JetBrains Mono) are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a request for the font files when you visit the site. Google's privacy policy applies to those requests.

Analytics (optional)

Clip supports Google Analytics 4 for aggregate, anonymised traffic analytics. GA is disabled by default. When the operator enables it, the site will load GA scripts with IP anonymisation turned on. Before any analytics storage is used, consent defaults to denied · GA will only track once you click Accept on the consent banner.

Advertising (optional)

Clip reserves ad slots (on the home page, the sidebar, and below tool output) that stay empty unless the operator enables Google AdSense. When enabled, AdSense may set its own cookies and share a limited amount of data with Google. Ads are gated by the same consent banner as analytics · declining means no ad cookies are set.

Consent

When analytics or ads are enabled, a banner appears at the bottom of the page letting you Accept or Decline. Your choice is stored locally and respected on subsequent visits. You can clear it any time by deleting the clip_consent key in your browser's site data.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we don't collect personal data on our side, there's nothing to request, correct, or delete from us. For data collected by Google Analytics or AdSense after you consent, you can exercise your rights directly with Google or by withdrawing consent.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new revision date. Material changes (e.g., turning on analytics) will be accompanied by an updated consent banner.
